Originally scheduled for 2020, the Golden Oldies Cricket Festival faced multiple postponements due to global challenges. But now, it's back and bigger than ever, set for August 11th-16th, 2024, culminating in a grand closing dinner on August 17th.

We're thrilled to announce our participation and hosting of games. Our Chairman's excitement is palpable, and we're eager to welcome our opposition at the Newby Hall Cricket Ground.

• We're not just participating; we're making it a monumental week!

• Competing in the Over 40 category, we boast a mix of seasoned players, many aged 50+.

• We're all set to play three official games and potentially host a fourth warm-up match.

• Alongside official matches, we're planning exclusive events and participation in official Golden Oldies activities.

• Our club's Golden Oldies week has garnered immense interest since its announcement in September 2019. We anticipate a robust playing squad of around 20, complemented by a large group of supporters, including past overseas players and international connections, turning this into a grand reunion.

Golden Oldies Cricket Festival Highlights

• An international fest for cricket enthusiasts aged 35 and over, held biennially.

• Harrogate is the proud host for 2024, following successful events in Christchurch (2018) and Barbados (2017).

• Emphasis on participation and camaraderie, with most players aged between 45-65.

• The 2010 Harrogate festival saw a whopping 1,200 attendees, and 2024 promises to be even grander with 67 teams initially registered for the 2020 event.
