Overseas Players
Newby hall Cricket Club over the years has warmly embraced overseas players, enriching our game with their diverse skills and experiences. Together, we learn and grow, as they've become an integral part of our vibrant community, sharing joy and sportsmanship on and off the field.
Over the years
Newby Hall was the first Nidderdale League club to recruit an overseas player when Tim Park (who had emigrated to Perth) sent Mark Stirling across in 1984. Stirls was the first in a long line of overseas players, many of whom have formed lifelong connections to the club and have reciprocated the hospitality shown to them in Yorkshire by hosting club members in their homes - mainly in Perth, Western Australia.

We've been blessed to have had some great players and even better people represent us as our overseas players and always look forward to their return visits.
