New Cricket Player Signing. Tom Chappell Returns to Cricket

Newby Hall is delighted to announce the signing of Tom Chappell for the 2024 season.

Tom played junior cricket at Newby Hall before moving away to University. After returning to Yorkshire and starting work in Boroughbridge, Tom has decided to start playing cricket again, and said that Newby was his first choice. 

Tom was convinced to start playing cricket again after joining the NHCC Golf Society last year and will fit his cricket around his football at Addingham. He’ll be available for selection from May until the end of August. 

Captain Aaron Virr is pleased that Tom has returned to playing cricket at Newby Hall, noting that "it's great that the number of players, particularly younger players, are growing, giving me more options and potentially some selection headaches!''
