The Annual General Meeting took place on Sunday 19 th at the Blue Bell, Kirby Hill.
It was a well-attended meeting, certainly the best attended in a good few years, with 18 people in attendance.
Tony Sidwell announced that he was stepping down as Chairman after 14 years, and Phil Hardaker announced similar from his position as Treasurer.
There were quite a few changes in committee positions, starting with Steve Potter making a return to the committee as Chairman and Adam Morley taking on the Treasurer role.
Dan Pywell joined the committee as Membership Secretary – off the back of a voted to re-
instate Membership Fees.
Harry Cushing took on responsibility for raising sponsorship, and Guy Evison for
liaising with the estate and cutting the outfield.
Phil’s Treasurer report made it quire clear that the club needs to raise funds and this, along with attracting new players, will be priority for the new committee. Meetings will be held on the second Sunday of the month, so if you want to raise anything for the committee to discuss please be aware of the meeting dates.
All of our thanks go to Tony and Phil, and the others stepping down from the Committee, for what they have achieved in their roles. We will acknowledge this further in the new year once the cricket has started. But until then, good luck to the new committee in preparing for the
2024 season.
